We selected an iconic classic that has proven it's looks and quality over the years. First seen during the 1995 bond movie and still running strong.
CHALLENGE
This is a unique project with little guidance. Many R&D hours for the 2 men team.
The BMW Z3 holds a special appeal for several reasons:

Iconic Design: Its timeless design stands out, blending classic roadster elements with modern aesthetics. The long hood, compact proportions, and bold lines evoke a sense of sportiness and elegance.

Driving Experience: The Z3 offers an engaging driving experience. With its rear-wheel drive layout, responsive handling, and spirited performance, it delivers a thrilling and enjoyable ride, especially on winding roads.

Heritage and Legacy: Being the first mass-produced BMW roadster made in the United States, the Z3 has a historic significance. It gained fame from its appearance in a James Bond film, further cementing its iconic status.

Convertible Option: The convertible variant adds an extra layer of excitement. Enjoying the open road with the top down can be an exhilarating experience, especially on pleasant days.

Collectibility: As a part of BMW's history, the Z3 holds value for collectors and enthusiasts. Its uniqueness, especially in specific colors or trim levels, can make it a sought-after classic car.
In-house PCB design
This car is more than an electrical motor and some batteries. With our inhouse PCB development we control the dashboard, heating, power steering and regenerative braking.
The temp gauge indicates battery & motor temperature. Fuel gauge indicates battery SOC and fuel light indicates last 20% charge.
ANOTHER CHALLENGE
The weight of the finished car is essential for the succes of the project.
Throughout the project we are aware of every Kg removed or added.
When the car is over 1235Kg the project won't be successful as it will not pass the RDW criteria.
Original weight of the car was 1202Kg.
It's going to be a light electric car !
AUTONOMY
The range of this car is like any other electrical car depending on:
-Weather
-Driving speed
-Inside heater temperature
-Driving style
The car is equipped with lithium modules and will consume about 150Wh/km.
The range will be between 150-300km.

A different approach, using hands-on method of manufacturing.
We, my son Luca and I, started this project march 2022 with 6 to 12 month time window. No rush as we are pioniers and like to do the right thing and enjoy the results. The result is the fruit of our brainstorm sessions. We are proud on what we build and how it looks.
